Locations
Atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema, is a chronic skin condition that can make your skin feel dry, itchy, and sore. It can come and go, showing up as red, irritated patches that may make daily life uncomfortable and have an impact on sleep, physical comfort and self-confidence.
Flare ups of symptoms can be caused by a wide-range of triggers including changes in temperature, allergens in the environment or food, stress, certain clothing or fabrics and hormonal changes. With eczema, your skin’s protective layer is a bit weaker, which makes it more susceptible to irritants.
Current treatments include topical creams and corticosteroids, but these options don’t always provide lasting relief creating a need for a more effective treatment.
This study is exploring whether a new investigational treatment could help people living with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) by targeting the underlying inflammation that causes itching and skin irritation.
Researchers are assessing whether this potential new treatment can lessen the severity of eczema symptoms, strengthen the skin’s natural barrier, and provide lasting relief to improve comfort and wellbeing.
Participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of two dose levels of the investigational treatment or a placebo. The study treatment is given once every four weeks over a 12-week period.
You will visit the clinic regularly for health assessments, including skin evaluations, physical examinations, and general checkups. Your safety and well-being will be closely monitored by a professional clinical team.
