Are you living with Type 2 Diabetes? Momentum Clinical Research is conducting a clinical research study investigating a potential new medication for adults with Type 2 Diabetes.
By taking part, you may receive regular health checks and contribute to research that could potentially improve future medication options for others living with diabetes.

Ages
18 years or older
Duration
The study duration is up to 56 weeks, with approximately 21 scheduled appointments (this may constitute a clinic visit, phone call or other form of contact).
Compensation
Participants will be paid for time and study-related costs.
Eligibility Criteria
You may be eligible to take part if you:
- Are aged 18 years or older
- Have a BMI of 23 kg/m² or higher
- Have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, and either:
- Manage your diabetes through diet and exercise only (and have never used insulin or any other oral or injectable medication to lower blood sugar), OR
- Manage your diabetes using oral medication/tablets only, OR
- Are on a stable dose of insulin, with or without Metformin or an SGLT2 inhibitor
Other criteria will apply.

Description
Type 2 Diabetes is a long-term condition that affects how the body controls blood sugar levels. It occurs when the body either does not produce enough insulin or cannot use insulin effectively. Over time, diabetes can affect overall health and may increase the risk of complications involving the heart, kidneys, eyes, nerves, and blood vessels.
Many people living with Type 2 Diabetes require ongoing medication, healthy lifestyle changes, and regular monitoring to help manage their condition and maintain healthy blood sugar levels. Despite available treatments, some people may still find it challenging to keep their diabetes well controlled.
This clinical research study is evaluating an investigational medication to better understand how safe it is and how it may affect adults living with Type 2 Diabetes. Researchers are also interested in learning more about how the study medication may affect blood sugar control, body weight, and other aspects of overall health over time.
By taking part in this study, participants may contribute valuable information that could support future research and improve understanding of Type 2 Diabetes medications.
What to expect
Participants in this study will receive either the study medication or placebo (inactive medication). The study medication is given as a weekly injection.
You will attend regular clinic visits for health assessments, including physical measurements, blood tests, and general health check-ups. Your safety and wellbeing will be closely monitored by our experienced clinical team throughout the study.
